Insurance Claims Process — FAQ

What is Xactimate and why does it matter?

Xactimate is the industry-standard estimating software used by insurance companies. When your contractor writes estimates in Xactimate, the adjuster can directly compare line items — no translation needed. This speeds up approvals and ensures nothing is missed. Many contractors don't use it. We do.

Will I really pay $0 out-of-pocket?

For covered losses, most clients pay only their deductible. We bill insurance directly for all covered work. We never ask you to float the full cost and wait for reimbursement. Your deductible is your only expense for covered restoration work.

What if my claim is denied or underpaid?

We fight for you. We prepare detailed supplement requests with additional documentation, photos, moisture readings, and industry standards to justify the full scope. If needed, we escalate to supervisors. Our Xactimate expertise means we speak the adjuster's language.

How long does the insurance process take?

Emergency mitigation is approved immediately (same day). Full claim processing typically takes 1-3 weeks for adjuster review and approval. We start work as soon as mitigation is needed and handle all paperwork in parallel so there's no delay in your restoration.

Don’t Wait. Call Now.

The longer damage sits, the worse it gets and the more it costs. One call to Prolific starts the restoration process.
